‘Move Fast! Let’s Go!’ Fox Team’s Live Location Gets Destroyed By Hurricane Melissa

The FOX Weather team covering Hurricane Melissa in Jamaica found the location they were staying destroyed, with the team scrambling amidst the chaotic weather.

FOX Weather released a Tuesday behind the scenes video of their team finding their Saint Ann’s Parish “live location” was heavily damaged by Hurricane Melissa.

The video showed glass doors shattered as the team rushed back downstairs to get out of the house. Winds could be heard smashing glass as the video was taken and the Fox team navigated the safest way out of the house.

“Move fast! Let’s go!” a member of the security team could be heard saying as the group went down the stairs, trying to avoid glass.

“That used to be a balcony,” FOX Weather correspondent Robert Ray noted as he showed off a demolished balcony.

The reporter later showed off in greater detail what massive damage the house took. The team had been renting and reporting from the home during the hurricane.

“The entire porch and all the sliding doors blown out,” Ray noted while he took a tour.

Debris could be seen throughout the house, as well as smashed glass.

“We literally have an unraveling of this room as we speak,” Ray said.

The winds from Hurricane Melissa could be heard hissing through openings in the home and Ray noted the winds were not even as strong as they’d seen that day.

“I want you to just listen to the hiss and the roar that comes through here. It is beyond scary, beyond frightening,” he said. “And I just hope that aid can come in.”

Hurricane Melissa made landfall in Jamaica on Tuesday Category 5 storm with top winds of 185 mph, leaving dozens dead and widespread destruction. In Jamaica, more than 70% are without power as of Wednesday, the Associated Press reported.
