MSNBC Confuses Failed GOP Senate Candidate Joe Miller for Retiring Dem Rep. George Miller

On Monday, longtime veteran of the House, Rep. George Miller (D-CA) announced that he would not seek reelection in November after serving in office since 1975. Announcing the retirement on Monday, MSNBC confused Miller with his political antithesis –- failed former U.S. Senate Candidate Joe Miller (R-AK).

MSNBC splashed about three seconds of b-roll of Joe Miller while anchor Craig Melvin announced the retirement of the member of the Democratic Californian congressional delegation. Melvin noted that the retiring George Miller chaired three committees over the course of his tenure in the House.
