‘Oh God, Scott, Come On!’ Karen Finney Erupts at Scott Jennings Over Takedown of Far-Left Dems

CNN’s Scott Jennings set off some of his colleagues after declaring that progressive Democratic candidates’ criticism of U.S. holidays is a “window” into their “communist” souls.

Jennings joined a CNN panel moderated by Kaitlan Collins as results were coming in from several state primaries, including in Wisconsin where gubernatorial hopeful Francesca Wong has made headlines over past quotes, including a call to cancel Thanksgiving — a holiday she now claims she loves.

Jennings noted that on top of Hong’s Thanksgiving criticism, Michigan Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed recently had several past comments resurface through a CNN K-File report, including criticism of the Fourth of July and fireworks.

“I think these holiday conversations are actually valuable. She hates Thanksgiving today. Our own K-File here at CNN uncovered the fact that over in Michigan, Abdul El-Sayed wants to get rid of the Fourth of July. And I think the reason these things—” Jennings began before Collins jumped in for a clarification.

Collins noted that El-Sayed’s main criticism was against fireworks on the holiday, rather than the holiday itself. Jennings accused her of “downplaying” his comments.

“I think these are windows into the souls of these anti-American radical communists,” Jennings declared.

“Oh, God. Oh, Scott, come on!” CNN commentator Karen Finney said in reaction.

“If you hate Thanksgiving and you hate the Fourth of July, what you’re really saying really saying is I hate some of the pillars that undergird American culture,” Jennings continued. “And how are you going to have a conversation with a voter about affordability or public safety or anything else if you’re trying to get rid of Thanksgiving and the Fourth of July? I mean, if I were Christmas and Easter, I wouldn’t be feeling too comfortable right now.”

“Can I just be clear for a second?” Collins said, jumping in, Finney relieved she was.

“Yes, please,” she said.

“He once asked YouTube viewers whether Americans could please find another way to celebrate the Fourth of July with four reasons why fireworks suck. I just want to be clear,” Collins clarified.

“Why did he delete it then? If it’s so harmless, why did he delete it?” Jennings asked.

According to CNN, some YouTube videos from El-Sayed were made “unlisted,” but his podcast episodes remain accessible.

“I didn’t say it was harmless, Scott,” Collins said. “I just wanted to be clear.”

Democratic strategist Ameshia Cross added, “People would come up with the same misconceptions you just did.”
