President Obama Asks To See Betty White’s Birth Certificate

During Betty White‘s birthday celebration Monday night on NBC, the 90-year old actress received a special surprise video message from President Barack Obama. The President, seated at his desk, read aloud a letter he was composing to the Golden Girls star:

Dear Betty,

You look so fantastic and full of energy, I can’t believe you’re 90 years old. In fact, I don’t believe it.

That’s why I’m writing to ask if you will produce a copy of your long-form birth certificate.

Thanks, and happy birthday, no matter how old you are.

He then placed a framed picture of White behind his desk in the Oval Office, and popped in headphones, bobbing his head to the Golden Girls theme song, “Thank You For Being A Friend.”
