Pro-Trump Fox News Guest Forced To Apologize for False On-Air Multiple Murder Claim
Pro-MAGA Frontlines White House correspondent Monica Paige was forced to apologize after she made a false multiple murder claim as a guest on Fox News — an apology that was less than fulsome.
Paige — whose outlet is the media branch of Charlie Kirk’s pro-Trump PAC Turning Point USA — was a guest on Wednesday’s edition of Fox News Channel’s Fox News at Night, during which anchor Trace Gallagher asked her to weigh in on the ongoing “Big Beautiful Bill” debate.
For some reason, Paige decided to throw in a false claim about wrongfully deported Kilmar Abrego Garcia committing multiple American-icides:
GALLAGHER: Yeah, Monica Paige. I want to bring you back into the conversation. You’ve been kind of watching this. You heard from Ana Paulina Luna and some other congresspeople about this.
Is there anything that you’d like to add to this conversation that we might be leaving out?
PAIGE: Yeah, well, I just think it’s interesting that all of a sudden, people voted for Thomas Massie. Like, I don’t remember voting for Thomas Massie with this. I remember voting Donald Trump to get this bill passed, and I feel like a lot of Americans who voted for Donald Trump feel the same way, especially not only with Thomas Massie, but a lot the other Republicans who are kind of leaning towards no.
They didn’t vote for these… Congress people, they voted for President Trump. They voted for this mandate.
And if you’re gonna vote no on this, then you’re voting along with Democrats, especially Democrats like Maxine Dexter, who was on the Hill today, dressed in a white robe, who also visited El Salvador to go see Kilmar Abrego Garcia, who killed Americans.
This is something that a lot of people are passionate about passing. If you’re not siding with Republicans, then unfortunately you’re siding with Democrats. Anti-American.
TRACE GALLAGHER: Now, Monica, stand by if you would.
Gallagher did not note the falsehood, nor was it subsequently acknowledged on the air.
But about an hour later, Paige took to X/Twitter to post a quasi-apology with a heavy dose of CYA:
Tonight during an interview on Fox News, I inadvertently said that Kilmar Abrego Garcia “killed Americans.”
What I meant to say was that he has been connected with gang activity that has devastated the lives of many people, and killed an untold number of Americans. He has not been personally linked to the death of anyone even while being accused of gang activity including human trafficking, drug trafficking, and spousal abuse.
I misspoke and I apologize for the mistake.
