‘Rambling Man’: Morning Joe Montage Showcases Trump’s Odd Proclivity for Wandering Off Stage
President Donald Trump’s recent wandering off stage during a G-20 photo op appears to have cemented his reputation as a guy who just leaves the scene whenever he wants.
MSNBC’s Morning Joe aired a montage of clips that show the Commander in Chief prematurely dipping from a number of press events, set to the dulcet sounds of Dickie Betts vocal and lead guitar lead on the Allman Brother’s Ramblin’ Man.
Some may see this as an unfair dig, but worth noting that, regardless of politics, every individual that ever served as President of the United States eventually gets depicted as a caricature of themselves.
Gerald Ford was portrayed as clumsy (despite being an All-American football player), Jimmy Carter simple and goofy (despite being regarded as one of the most intelligent men to serve that office) and Ronald Reagan was portrayed as a doddering fool (despite being touted as one of America’s best presidents.)
Is this montage designed to portray Trump as having lost a step in mental agility, or this a more charitable demonstration that the President just follows his “will to power” better than most?
We report, and you decide.
