Report: Executive Producer David Friedman Leaving Early Show
The executive producer of CBS’ third-rated Early Show has announced he is leaving the show, according to a post on Mediabistro. David Friedman joined the show in January as the network unveiled a revamped team including co-hosts Erica Hill and Chris Wragge. The shakeup was announced to Early Show staff after the program Monday.
Friedman joined CBS from NBC, where he spent six years at top-rated TODAY, and also worked as executive producer of Last Call with Carson Daly. Friedman also produced NBC’s annual New Year’s Eve specials and coverage of the Macy’s 4th of July fireworks show.
Friedman’s father, Paul, served as a senior executive at CBS News until his own departure in a network shakeup announced in February.
