Science Channel Developing I F*cking Love Science TV Series
TV’s Craig Ferguson, host of The Late Late Show announced at SXSW over the weekend that he will be executive producing the show I F*cking Love Science, based on the Facebook page of the same name. The immensely popular page has accumulated over 10 million likes on Facebook, and the show will be developed for the Science Channel for a debut later this year.
Ferguson, one of late night’s most eclectic and free-wheeling personalities, said the show will be about exploring “the randomness of science” in a mixture of “live-action, animation and recreations.” He explained, “Think of it as a late night Google search that goes a hundred pages deep until things get weird -– and then you just keep going.”
Elise Andrew, the creator of the Facebook page, said on her blog that she will be a consulting producer on the show, expressing excitement about reaching a wider net of people “and show them exactly why science is so damn exciting.”
And with the debut of the big Cosmos reboot on Fox yesterday, it’s been a good weekend for fans of science.
