The Nation Attacks Ayn Rand in Holiday Subscription Ad
You might not be able to save your elderly uncle from being an altruism-loathing Ayn Rand acolyte, The Nation laments, but you might be able to save the kids… by gifting them a subscription to Katrina vanden Heuvel‘s magazine.
In a new holiday email ad, The Nation invokes frequent left-wing boogeywoman Ayn Rand to urge people to purchase subscriptions to their “proudly independent,” “painstakingly truthful” magazine. The centerpiece of the ad is an old black-and-white photograph of a suit-wearing man reading Atlas Shrugged with two young children peering over his shoulder.
