‘Tim Walz Is a Complete Moron’: CNN Panelist Goes Off on Ex-VP Candidate for Cheering Tesla Downturn

He was hammering against the Walz!

Entrepreneur and CNN contributor Shermichael Singleton didn’t hold back against Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz (D) Wednesday night, slamming the former VP hopeful as a “complete moron” for cheering on Tesla’s current economic woes.

The rant began as CNN Newsnight host Abby Phillip asked the panel, which also included Rep. Ro Khanna (D-CA) and Mr. Wonderful Kevin O’Leary, about Democrats like Walz getting fired up over the Tesla stock dropping since the inauguration of President Donald Trump.

Singleton responded with the following:

First of all, Tim Walz is a complete moron to me. I have to be very honest, and I’m not surprised why the American people did not choose him. Nothing against the vice president. With that said, Elon Musk employs 80 plus thousand Americans. Americans, most of them are working class people. The implications of the stock, let’s say this, were to continue on for another year. So I’m just throwing out a hypothetical. Will the company at some point have to decrease its work workplace? Most of those people, I would imagine, probably vote for Democrats, at least some of them. So now you’re impacting people who likely share your worldview because you disagree with Elon Musk. Don’t buy the car, just like those guys are saying, let’s protest Anheuser-Busch, et cetera. We’re just not going to buy their beer. I’m okay with that. But destroying public property, there is no place for that.

Also on Wednesday, Walz said he believes Trump might be doing Democrats a “favor” with his federal spending cuts and gutting of entire departments, and spun Trump’s administration as an “opportunity” for Dems during an interview with Semafor’s David Weigel.
