Touré Does His Best Frank Underwood Impression on The Cycle
The Netflix series House of Cards is officially a thing, and with season two underway (or complete, depending on your level of obsessiveness), you can expect to see bits of the show’s signature storytelling vernacular continually turning up in our culture. Case in point: The Cycle‘s Touré, who delivered his commentary on season two of the DC-set phenomenon in the aside-driven style of the show’s main character, Frank Underwood.
Even though Touré promises no spoilers in one of those asides, you should watch with care if you’ve just started watching season two of the addictive series, because he still manages to give away a few details that I didn’t want to hear, but Tourés critique of the show, a soulless portrayal of Washington, DC that is an all-you-can-eat dessert bar for those who crave viciousness, is as dead-on as his Frank Underwood impression. If you haven’t started watching House of Cards yet, then don’t, unless you ‘ve got a lot of time to kill.
