Ummm… Hillary Clinton Calls Jim Clyburn ‘Highest Ranking African-American In Our Government’

During a Tuesday radio interview, Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton identified Democratic South Carolina Congressman James Clyburn as the highest ranking African-American in the U.S. government.

Clinton was speaking to Miami gospel music station WMBM about her plan her the black community. “I really like the idea of a program that Congressman Jim Clyburn from South Carolina, the highest ranking African-American in our government has been promoting…’ she began.

As Assistant House Minority Leader, Clyburn is the highest-ranking African-American in Congress. But among those who outrank him in government are Attorney General Loretta E. Lynch, Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson, Secretary of Education John King, Jr., Secretary of Transportation Anthony Foxx and, yes, President Barack Obama.
