WATCH LIVE: Global Citizen 2015 Earth Day Rally in D.C.

 

In honor of Earth Day, coming up this week on April 22, the Global Poverty Project will host the massive Global Citizen 2015 Earth Day rally Saturday afternoon on the National Mall in Washington, D.C.

In conjunction with the Earth Day Network, the event will attempt to bring together the causes of anthropogenic climate change and global poverty.

Organizers expect roughly 250,000 people to attend the rally, which includes a free concert from artists like My Morning Jacket, Train, Fall Out Boy, Mary J. Blige, Usher, and No Doubt. Speakers will include Will.i.am, actor Don Cheadle, United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon and World Bank Group President Jim Yong Kim.
