Why Won’t Anyone Stand with Paul McCartney?
The snoozefest that is the 57th Annual Grammy Awards got a little bit of a wake-up jolt when Jeff Lynne and what’s left of Electric Light Orchestra came out to perform “Evil Woman” and “Mr. Blue Sky.”
Of course, very few people in the building (or on Twitter) could appreciate such a throwback performance. Except Sir Paul McCartney, who stood up to dance and clap during the performance.
Sadly, no one wanted to join him (Though Jenny Lewis looked like she was digging ELO — see if you can spot her). When cameras caught Macca in the depressingly awkward loner dance, he made a gesture to camera before sitting back down.
Here’s the moment in GIF form, via:

Well, we’re with you, Paul:
#IStandWithPaulMcCartney for ELO.

That’s right, I just embedded my own tweet. It’s been a long night.
