‘Am I Allowed To Hit Her Now?’ Trump Tells Rally Crowd He Wanted To ‘Hit Back’ At Michelle Obama Criticisms

Former President Donald Trump told a rally crowd he asked his advisers if he could “hit back” at former First Lady Michelle Obama after she criticized him at a rally for Vice President Kamala Harris.

With only hours to go before Election Day, following the bombshell Des Moines Register poll showing Harris ahead of Trump in Iowa, Trump is spending time complaining about remarks Mrs. Obama made at a rally that appear to have wounded him deeply. During a press event at Mar-a-Lago last week, Trump couldn’t stop calling her “nasty” as he recalled the remarks:

If you remember when I met with Obama, his wife was very nasty to me the other day. Like that was not nice. She was very nasty. She said nasty things. I was always, I was always very — I was always very respectful of her. But she she got up there, which shows you how nervous they are about what’s happening. But she was nasty two days ago, she got up and said some bad things she shouldn’t have said. They were wrong, too.

Trump spoke to supporters at a rally in Raleigh, North Carolina Monday morning, during which he revealed he quizzed his campaign “geniuses” on whether he could metaphorically “hit her now?” and polled the crowd on whether he should:

Barack Hussein Obama. I call him the great divider. He’s the great divider. And he hit — ohhh! And Michelle hit me. I was so nice to her. Out of respect, I was.

And she hit me the other day. I was going to say to my people, “Am I allowed to hit her now?”

They said, “Take it easy, sir. Sir!”

My geniuses. I’m telling you, They said, “Just take it easy.”

What do you mean? She said bad about me! I can’t hit back?

“Sir. You’re winning. Just relax.”

That’s — is that good? Is that good or bad advice?

I think it’s neutral, you know. You know, the response there is like, nah.

DONALD TRUMP: What do the ladies from North Carolina think about it back or just be just relax. Huh?

(INDISTINCT).

They say it’s like you say, hit back. I’d actually love to hit back. But we’ll hold it a little while. Let’s — we’ll hold it. I’d love to hit back, but —

(INDISTINCT SHOUTS).

No, no. She took some shots at me the other day. I said, Whoa, whoa, whoa. What have we here? I’ve never heard that before. I’ve always treated her very nicely.

But he’s the great divider. Barack Hussein Obama. He’s a great divider.
