JD Vance and Tim Walz will be debating in October and October after the Ohio Republican said he’s willing to go to two debates — on CBS News and CNN — with the governor of Minnesota who was recently announced as running mate to Vice President Kamala Harris. Vance said in a post to X on Thursday that the American people “deserve as many debates as possible.”
“The American people deserve as many debates as possible, which is why President Trump has challenged Kamala to three of them already,” Vance wrote on Thursday on X.
The Republican vice presidential candidate was responding to Walz, Vice President Kamala Harris’s running mate, agreeing to an October 1 debate invitation from CBS.
Vance agreed to the October debate as well as a September 18 debate with CNN.
“Not only do I accept the CBS debate on October 1st, I accept the CNN debate on September 18th as well. I look forward to seeing you at both!” Vance wrote to Walz.
