Dan Abrams Signs Off NewsNation Show for the Last Time

NewsNation host Dan Abrams signed off for the last time on his show, Thursday and said goodbye to his viewers.

“So this is my final episode of Dan Abrams Live here on NewsNation,” announced Abrams, who also founded Mediaite, at the end of his show:

As I explained, when I made the announcement in December, as much as I love this show and the mission of this network, I just can’t continue to give this show the attention it needs and deserves with all of my other professional commitments. But I don’t wanna get too nostalgic or sappy because this is definitely not goodbye. In fact, it’s not even goodbye from NewsNation. I’m working with them on possible weekly show concept, but regardless if that works out, I intend to still be a part of the NewsNation family.

Abrams then listed all of his other commitments and ways his viewers can still consume his analysis:

You can still catch me on Reelz on Friday and Saturday nights for On Patrol Live, where we follow police departments in real time. I have my Daily Politics Meets the Law Show on Sirius XM POTUS Channel, which will soon be available on YouTube as well. I’m still ABC News Chief legal analyst. I still host Court Cam on A&E, which also appears on some Nexstar networks as well. So I’ll still be doing a lot of TV. And most importantly, I run a major media business that needs my attention.

After thanking his team and wishing them luck in their next roles, Abrams continued:

I will miss this show. I’ll miss chatting on-air with my old pal Chris Cuomo, who’s doing such a smart, interesting show every night. And starting on Monday, it will be Leland Vittert here at 9pm, and I am wishing him all the best of luck, but he won’t need luck. Most importantly, thanks to all of you for watching and engaging with us. Your comments and feedback always helped guide the direction of the show. Your desire for fair analysis helped motivate us, and even if you didn’t always agree, you knew that I wasn’t cheerleading for one side or the other and you knew we always wanted to hear the other side.
