Ladies and gentlemen and mascots of the jury…
Today kicked off Juror Appreciation Week in Philadelphia. And to commemorate the festivities, officials decided to freak out prospective jurors by inviting Philadelphia Phillies mascot — the Phillie Fanatic.

If Bernie Brewer were on trial, we suppose the Phillie Phanatic could legitimately be impaneled. But we’re hard pressed to find many other defendants for whom the Phantic could be classified as a peer.
