A Mardi Gras Parade in Alabama Has Been Canceled Following Car Crashing Into Band
CNN affiliate WKRG is reporting that a Mardi Gras parade in Gulf Shores, Alabama has been canceled this morning after a car hit a crowd that included 11 students in a marching band. Three of them are still in critical condition.
The vehicle was a part of the parade, and sources told WKRG that it was being driven by an elderly man. It is still unknown if the incident was accidental or had criminal intent.
This follows a car crashing into people at a Mardi Gras parade in New Orleans just three days ago. That incident was reportedly caused by drunk driving.
This is a breaking news post and will be updated as details become available.
