A ‘Scientist’s March’ Is Being Planned To Pressure and Oppose Trump
Hot off the success of the Women’s Marches that took place in Washington, D.C., around the country, and even around the world in response to Donald Trump‘s statements about women, scientists are planning their own march to oppose his statements and policies that relate to their field.
The scientific community has been reeling since Trump ordered a media freeze at the Environmental Protection Agency and reportedly froze all of their grants. Reportedly, he’s also requiring that all EPA studies be reviewed politically before their public release. Scientists and environmentalists have been fighting back on Twitter, but the march may take their cause to the next level.

The march has no official date set, but interest in supplemental marches throughout the country has gone up. The march’s official website answers the question of who can participate like this: “Anyone who values empirical science. That’s it. That’s the only requirement.”
