Actor/Comedian T.J. Miller Accused of Violent Sexual Assault: ‘He Choked Me’

Yet another Hollywood star has been accused of sexually assaulting a woman.
According to a bombshell Daily Beast report, former Silicon Valley actor T.J. Miller is alleged to have violently sexually assaulted a woman when the two attended George Washington University. As the report notes, the accusation was addressed by a student court at the time and had been whispered about in Hollywood for years.
Per the Daily Beast, the woman — she asked to remain anonymous to protect her identity — explained that Miller physically hurt her during sex:
“He just tried a lot of things without asking me, and at no point asked me if I was all right,” the woman told The Daily Beast. “He choke[d] me, and I kept staring at his face hoping he would see that I was afraid and [that he] would stop… I couldn’t say anything.”
The woman said that her relationship with Miller began in 2001 and that the first incident of sexual assault occurred months later. During a night in which she admits that she had a lot to drink and doesn’t remember parts of the encounter, the woman says she distinctly remembers Miller shaking her violently and punching her in the mouth during sex. After she woke up in the morning with a bloody lip and fractured tooth, Miller told her she fell down while drunk.
Pointing out that she didn’t want to believe he sexually assaulted her, she explained that she continued to trust Miller, especially since she had lost her virginity to him. She then recounted another incident that happened a few days later.
Explaining that he began choking her and she felt “fully paralyzed,” the woman — referred to in the Daily Beast‘s story as Sarah — noted that her roommates could hear her and knocked on her door. She answered the door in her robe and told them she’d talk to them in the morning as she wasn’t sure if she was OK. Then, this occurred:
“He pulled me back to bed and more things happened,” Sarah said. “He anally penetrated me without my consent, which I actually believe at that point I cried out, like, ‘No,’ and he didn’t continue to do that—but he also had a [beer] bottle with him the entire time. He used the bottle at one point to penetrate me without my consent.”
During the incident, Sarah said she “froze.” She says she “wasn’t prepared” for what had happened and that she “didn’t want to believe it was happening.”
Miller and his wife denied the allegations to the Daily Beast, stating that the woman is “now using the current climate to bandwagon and launch these false accusations again.” They added that it’s “unfortunate that she is choosing this route as it undermines the important movement to make women feel safe coming forward about legitimate claims against real known predators.”
Meanwhile, the outlet corroborated the woman’s story with five George Washington contemporaries while also speaking to a number of other associates of both Miller and the woman.
