Aide Sues Sterling for Sexual Harassment, Alleges ‘Steady Stream’ of Racist, Sexist Remarks
Donald Sterling might need to go back to church.
Maiko Maya King, a former assistant to the disgraced Los Angeles Clippers owner, has filed suit in Los Angeles court alleging Sterling sexual harassed her and subjected her to a slew of racist comments and sexual quid quo pro, and then fired her when she protested.
King and Sterling were romantically involved from 2005 to 2011. King said she was fired in 2012 when she protested what she characterized as a “steady stream of racially and sexually offensive comments.” The suit alleges Sterling “dangled money only if she would have sex with him.”
Sterling’s lawyer dismissed the charges as “without merit.” Sterling was banned from the NBA after a recording by his mistress V. Stiviano (who has her own problems) revealed horrifically racist remarks; as his wife readies a sale of his basketball franchise, reports indicate he was recently declared mentally unfit.
