Regular readers of Mediaite will know that we are not in the business of unrequited love for Donald Trump Jr. The missteps of the first son — cough Russia cough — are so numerous, we don’t have time to recount them now.
You can read all that dirt here.
However — credit where credit’s due — Trump Jr. tweeted a furious bit of ownage yesterday on Michael Moore after the liberal provocateur suggested that President Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort should be opened as a shelter for people fleeing Hurricane Irma.
“Has he opened up Mar-a-Lago as a shelter yet?” Moore chided.

Trump Jr. was absolutely not having it.
It’s on an island on both the ocean & intercostal and in a mandatory evacuation zone,” he snapped. “Probably not the best idea, but you know, narrative!”
In just 12 hours, the zinger has racked up more than 18,000 retweets and is still going strong in the MAGAsphere and beyond.

Indeed, the exclusive members only resort which the elder Trump has christened the Winter White House was completely evacuated days ago — along with the rest of surrounding Palm Beach.
“Our teams at our four properties in Florida are taking all of the proper precautions and are following local and Florida State Advisories very closely to help ensure that everyone is kept safe and secure,” a club spokesman said in a statement Friday, the Los Angeles Times reported. “Our three private properties in Florida – The Mar-a-Lago Club, Trump International Golf Club, Palm Beach and Trump National Golf Club, Jupiter have all been closed.”
Moore’s off-game has not been limited to Twitter. In recent days, his anti-Trump one man show, “The Terms of My Surrender,” was trashed by reviewers with the New York Times panning it as “shaggy and self-aggrandizing.”
