Ben and Jerry’s Releases Cereal-Flavored Ice Cream Because Childhood is Delicious
Need a break from all the Trump-Obama wiretap shenanigans? May I suggest one of Ben & Jerry’s new cereal-flavored ice creams?
In what feels like the grocery store confectioner making a grab at Momofuku Milk Bar’s famous (and delicious) cereal milk soft serve, B&J’s latest addition to their cannon of flavors is called Cereal Splashbacks.
The line, which only features three flavors at present, pays homage to the staples of Saturday morning cartoon watching cuisine. Froot Loot is a spin on Fruity Pebbles (would have thought Froot Loops, but I guess they’re playing against type?), Frozen Flakes is, you guessed it, based off of Frosted Flakes, and Cocoa Loco is their version of Cocoa Pebbles.
All of this is fresh on the heels of the frozen treat giant’s other recent new additions. January saw the release of three other new flavors, and in February the producer unveiled three non-dairy options. Apparently they like doing things in threes, but if it involves ice cream, we aren’t complaining.
Sadly, you’ll have to make your way to a Ben & Jerry’s shop if you want to try the new cereal-inspired flavors, as there don’t seem to be any plans to put them into a wide release in grocery stores.
Hopefully that changes though, because we’re sure they’re grrrrrrrrrrrrreat!
