Ben Stein told Fox’s Neil Cavuto today that Hollywood “is trying to shut down free debate within Hollywood” where Donald Trump is concerned.
With celebrities like Nicole Kidman getting attention for less-than-critical remarks about the president-elect, Stein––known for roles like the teacher in Ferris Bueller’s Day Off––said he knows for a fact that people have lost friends and agents over political differences. He said that many people in Hollywood are “thuggish bullies” who don’t like dissent.
He also doesn’t like how people in Hollywood call Trump and his team “racist,” saying, “That’s their favorite word to blacklist someone.”
Stein also said that his own career has basically dried up over his own conservatism (in the past decade or so he’s mostly done voice roles in animated series like Fairly OddParents.)
