Flynn Releases Statement Following Guilty Plea: ‘I Accept Full Responsibility for My Actions’
Michael Flynn‘s legal representatives have released a statement confirming that the former National Security adviser to the Trump administration has pleaded guilty for lying to the FBI.
In his announcement, Flynn pushed back against the accusations of “treason” that have shadowed him in recent months, but he also confirmed that he will cooperate with Robert Mueller‘s special counsel and that he accepts “full responsibility for my actions.”

While the details of the precise timing are not yet clear, indicators suggest that President Trump ordered Flynn to set up contact with the Russians. This could prove to be a significant factor for the probes into Russia’s efforts to interfere with the 2016 election for Trump’s benefit.
