ICYMI: Video of Ice Cream Store Manager Kicking Out Man Yelling At Hijabi Women Goes Viral
Monday of this week, two young women named Nura Takkish and Malaak Ammari stopped at Andrew’s Ice Cream and Dessert in Orange, California, looking to grab something to eat. What they found, besides the ice cream, was a fellow patron who was not happy to see them there wearing their hijabs.
According to their account, he was arguing with a cashier, left angrily, and then returned. The man began yelling at the two of them, but by the time Ammari turned the camera on her phone on, Andrew’s staff was busy kicking the man out of their establishment.

Tomorrow, there will be an event held at Andrew’s to thank Cindy Ramsay, the owner who removed the man from the building. The event is sponsored by the LA chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations and is expected to see attendance in the hundreds.
Both women will be at the event and have expressed gratitude to the staff for standing by them.
