‘I’m Ready to Take Your Pants Down Now’: Bret Baier Reveals His Most Awkward Day

Fox News Channel’s anchor of Special Report, Bret Baier, joined the team at Real Clear Politics for their Morning Commute series recently where he revealed a story about an inordinately awkward day on the job.

Asked for a story he has not told before, Baier told the editors of Real Clear Politics that one story that would fit that bill comes from one of his first days as anchor of Special Report, replacing longtime anchor Brit Hume. The program’s new format required Baier to open the show from a standing position, revealing to the audience that his suit pants were wrinkled after a day of working behind a desk.

That’s when they instituted a new pants policy requiring Baier to switch in and out of a series of pants over the course of one day. One day, this new system resulted in him receiving an email which he described an “aggressive” request for Baier to have his pants taken “down” by an intern.
