‘It IS an Issue!’ Two Anchors Hysterically Spar Over the Fact That They’re Both Wearing White

I guess the rules about wearing white after Labor Day don’t apply in Australia (and yes, snarky Mediaite commenters, Australia DOES have its own Labor Day; they spell it “Labour,” is takes place in October, and it recognizes the labor movements of groups like the Australian Council of Trade Unions).

Two news anchors for Nine News Now got into a hilarious sparring match when they both showed up to wear white during a live broadcast interview. To complicate the action even further, the segment’s guest also showed up wearing white, creating the optics for a news version of Charlie’s Angels.

“I need Julie to put a jacket on, because we’re all in white. I asked her before we came on. Julie, you need to put a jacket on,” says primary anchor Amber Sherlock with attitude. “They’re can’t be three of us.”

“If it’s an issue, I can get on out of here…” offered Julie Snook meekly. Then, suddenly, Sherlock snaps without looking up at the monitors…

“It is an issue. Go and grab a jacket,” she replies sharply. “I asked you two-and-a-half hours ago, it’s not that hard of a request,” Sherlock continued.

Suddenly, when the camera feed picks back up, the segment is live and the ladies act as if nothing even happened in the first place. “A big welcome to both you you!” Sherlock says through a smile.
