Jennifer Lawrence Roasted on Twitter for Saying Deadly Hurricanes Are Nature’s ‘Wrath’ For Trump Election

Star actress Jennifer Lawrence is facing harsh criticism for implying the deadly damage caused by hurricanes Harvey and Irma are nature’s reaction to President Donald Trump‘s election win.

“You know, you’re watching these hurricanes now, and it’s really hard, especially while promoting this movie, not to feel Mother Nature’s rage. Wrath,” said Lawrence during an interview in the UK.

Bleakly adding, “I’ve heard things and seen things on TV in my own country that devastate me and make me sick, and it’s just really confusing.”

Lawrence has long been a dramatic critic of the president — calling his election the literal “end of the world” — and is known to vocally stand-up for progressive causes, such as Planned Parenthood. However, Twitter users did not take well to Lawrence linking the deadly hurricane to Trump, as the Academy Award-winning actress received threats of boycott and countless outrage.

Below are just some of the many tweets roasting JLaw for her hurricane commentary:
