The New England Patriots have been having a bad week. Not only did star quarterback Tom Brady see his suspension appeal rejected by the NFL, but football fans and the media have renewed their “Deflategate” suspicions after rumors emerged that Brady destroyed his cell phone before investigators could take a look at his messages.
The news was bound to delight fans of the New York Jets, and on Thursday, some of their deep-pocketed fans decided to troll the Patriot’s first day of offseason practice.
Metro reported that a group of super fans at JetFansMedia.com decided to buy some advertising time and fly a banner reading “CHEATERS LOOK UP” above the Patriots training camp.
Contributing participant Jason Koeppel called for the team to accept that they got caught, saying “the time has come for Tom Brady, Bill Belichick and Robert Kraft to start dealing with reality.”
