Kavanaugh Explodes at Questioning From Feinstein: ‘My Family’s Been Destroyed By This, Senator. Destroyed!’
Judge Brett Kavanaugh exploded during questioning from Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) of the Senate Judiciary Committee Thursday — as he responded to the sexual assault claim against him from Christine Blasey Ford.
Feinstein began by asking the judge why he’s not calling for an FBI investigation into the claims made by Ford, Debra Ramirez, and Julie Swetnick.
“Senator, I’ll do whatever the committee wants,” Kavanaugh said. “I wanted a hearing the day after the allegation came up. I wanted to be here that day! Instead, ten days passed where all this nonsense is coming out, you know, that I’m in gangs, on I’m boats in Rhode Island. I’m in Colorado, you know, I’m cited all over the place. And these things are printed! And run breathlessly by cable news!”
Kavanaugh added, “My family’s been destroyed by this, senator. Destroyed!”
Feinstein concluded her allotted time by asking, “What you’re saying, if I understand it, is that the allegations by Dr. Ford, Miss Ramirez, and Miss Swetnick are wrong?”
“Emphatically what I’m saying!” Kavanaugh said. “Emphatically! The Swetnick thing is a joke! That is a farce!”
“Would you like to say more about it?” Feinstein asked.
“No,” said the judge.
