MTV News Expands Political Coverage With Two Key Personnel Hires
To continue the MTV News legacy of Kurt Loder and his Choose or Lose election coverage from the 90’s, MTV News today has announced that it has brought on two key hires in this election year.
Ana Marie Cox, the founding editor of the popular site Wonkette and a contributor to the New York Times Magazine has joined the ranks of MTV News beginning today. In addition, Jaime Fuller from the Daily Intelligencer will be beginning her role with the millennial-focused network on Monday.
Politico reports that both Cox and Fuller will work closely alongside former Grantland editor Holly Anderson, who is serving as the director of politics and began in her new position within the past few weeks. Anderson was the latest former Grantland staffer to find a home at MTV News, joining the network after Dan Fierman made the jump as well.
