A huge majority of Alabama Republicans do not believe the allegations against Roy Moore, according to a new poll.
Moore, still campaigning, has been saying the allegations are unfounded, and per a CBS News poll out this morning, a whopping 71 percent of Republicans in the state agree.
Moore leads Doug Jones by 6 points overall.
Among all likely voters, 21 percent believe the allegations against Moore are “definitely true,” while 24 percent think they’re “probably true.”
But among just Republicans, 71 percent do not believe the allegations of sexual misconduct from multiple women.
And when the people who don’t believe the allegations were asked who they think is behind this, a lot of them point to 1) the media, 2) Democrats, and 3) “people seeking attention or money.”
