Obama, Romney Pull Campaign Ads In Colorado Following Shooting

President Barack Obama and Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney have both asked Colorado affiliates to pull campaign ads until further notice — in the wake of this morning’s shooting at an Aurora movie theater.

Per the White House press pool, Jen Psaki, traveling press secretary for the Obama campaign, said:

We have asked affiliates to pull down our contrast advertising for the time being. It takes time for stations to be able to do this, but we are making every effort.

CBS News also reported that the Romney has asked ads to be pulled until further notice as well. Campaign press secretary Andrea Saul, via POLITICO:

We are pulling all ads in CO until further notice.
