Rand Hits Back at Trump: ‘Won’t be Bribed or Bullied’ Into Health Care Bill Support

As President Donald Trump continues to rip Sen. Rand Paul for not supporting the Graham-Cassidy bill, the Kentucky lawmaker is telling the president that his bullying won’t do any good.

Earlier today, Trump tweeted that Paul will forever be known as “the Republican who saved ObamaCare” if the senator fails to support the newest effort to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act. This comes after Trump previously called the senator a “negative force” when it comes to health care reform.

Paul defended his skepticism of the bill this week by saying it’s an insufficient repeal effort. Several other GOP senators have also expressed reservations about the health care proposal, and its unclear whether it has the votes to successfully pass through the Senate.
