Yesterday, Hillary Clinton shared that she thinks James Comey and the FBI played a significant role in her electoral defeat by Donald Trump. Today, the ladies of The View picked the argument all the way apart.
Straight away, Jedediah Bila said her reaction to Clinton’s buck-passing was “the least impressed” she’d been with her in some time.
“Every time I see her do an interview, I’m waiting for a moment where she just doesn’t blame anyone but herself and acknowledges why they lost,” Bila said. “The reason why she lost was that her foreign policy at the State Department was a disaster. Her intervention in Libya led to terrorist agents and the infiltration of ISIS. She lost because she picked a bad vice presidential candidate. She didn’t do proper groundwork in states like Wisconsin, in states like Michigan, in states like Pennsylvania. She lied to people! She — ”
“Don’t bring up the lies,” interjected Whoopi Goldberg. “Please don’t bring up lying.”
“About the server?” Bila shot back.
Goldberg and the new host went back and forth a little as Goldberg maintained there was no lying to talk about and Bila conceded that they could focus on the other things she’d mentioned.
Sara Haines, though, took Bila’s side, saying, “In some ways, I think [Clinton] might still be missing some of it.”
