Tea Party Candidate Wrestles Tiny Gator to Make Point About Big Government

 

The theme of this congressional midterm’s ads: folksy, flyover state metaphors for taking on the Obama administration. Today’s ad comes from Louisiana’s Rob Maness, a conservative vet who is “One of Us” (actual words from his ad to describe himself) and is running against Sen. Mary Landrieu (D-LA).

This time there is a small alligator. Which he wrestles. And the alligator itself is a metaphor for government, because the government is amphibious and, uh, descended from dinosaurs. (Wait, that actually might be a good metaphor). Also, he is from the swamps of Louisiana.

So… vote for Maness. Because he can wrestle a tiny baby gator to the ground. (It’s surprisingly tiny, which, come on, Maness. False advertising.) Watch below:
