Good Sport Ted Cruz Signs Prankster’s Communist Manifesto With Cheeky Note

 

Sen. Ted Cruz signed a copy of the Communist Manifesto that a prankster handed him with a similarly puckish inscription:

“Millions have suffered because of this.”

The young man who handed the senator the book told him it was an “economic textbook.” Cruz responded: “That… would be the Communist Manifesto.” He added: “You know what? I’ll sign it as well.”

The man bearing the book told the candidate, “You have a good sense of humor.”

After telling reporters what he had written in the book, Cruz quipped: “I note this as the son of a Cuban immigrant whose family has seen firsthand just exactly what communism [does]. But thank you for coming out.” And Cruz shook the man’s hand.
