Tucker Carlson Devotes 46 Seconds of His Program to Explosive Roy Moore Allegations

Quite a bit of the news media’s focus today was centered on the bombshell Washington Post report that included allegations that Alabama GOP Senate candidate Roy Moore pursued relationships with four teenage girls while he was in his 30s. One woman accused the ex-Alabama judge of initiating sexual contact with her when she was only 14 years old and he was 32.

However, if you watched Tucker Carlson Tonight, you would have hardly even known about it.

This evening, the Fox News host spent his entire show focusing on topics such as the impact of Facebook on our society, Donna Brazile and the Hillary Clinton campaign, illegal immigration and the GOP tax plan. Towards the end of the hour, he ran a game show-like segment featuring colleagues Ed Henry and Shannon Bream.

And finally, as the clock was about to strike 9 PM to signal the start of Sean Hannity’s program, Carlson devoted all of 46 seconds to discussing the explosive allegations.

Here’s what he said on the Moore story, in its entirety:

Quite a bit of political drama in Alabama tonight. The Washington Post reports claims that Republican candidate Judge Roy Moore is running for Senate to replace Jeff Sessions. They said he tried to initiate relationships with teens several years ago. The 32-year-old kissed and fondled a 14-year-old girl at his home. More than a dozen Republican senators in Washington have said that Moore must step aside if those allegations prove to be true. Moore says they’re not true. He is sticking by that pretty emphatically. A showdown with Doug Jones is scheduled for December 12th. We’ll continue to follow this story.

Rewind to just a few short weeks ago, and in the aftermath of the Harvey Weinstein sexual misconduct scandal breaking, Carlson couldn’t get enough of that story, devoting multiple, lengthy segments to the allegations. He especially took delight in ripping NBC News for passing on Ronan Farrow‘s bombshell report.

But when it comes to Roy Moore? He ain’t even got a minute.
