WATCH: Eric Trump Dumped Out of the Ring by High-Ranked Sumo Wrestler in Brief Bout
Eric Trump has never been shy about playing up his image as a chip off the old block, but on a trip to Japan, the president’s son found himself rather more swiftly dispatched than his father’s WWE alter ego ever was.
At 6-foot-5, Trump managed an initial shove that briefly put his opponent on the back foot before the yokozuna scooped him up and carried him out of the ring, ending the match before it had truly begun.
Trump laughed off the defeat, shook hands with his opponent, and bowed.
“Not every day you get invited to sumo the legend, Yokozuna! Almost had him! A great honor!” he posted on Instagram. A second clip showed him being spun around the ring and a third image showed him standing with Yokozuma and his fellow wrestlers.

Trump’s sumo debut came as the Trump family’s flagship token $WLFI began open exchange-based trading on Monday, the product of a venture founded by Eric and Donald Trump Jr. As trading closed out the family’s stake in token reportedly spiked in value to $5 billion.
