WATCH LIVE: James Holmes Murder Trial – 04/30/15

Opening statements in the murder trial of James Holmes, who is accused of killing 12 people and wounding 70 others when he fired upon the crowd of moviegoers at a midnight showing of The Dark Knight Rises in Aurora, Colorado on July 20, 2012.

Holmes has been charged with 24 counts of first-degree murder as well as 116 counts of attempted first-degree murder, one count of possessing an explosive device and one count of violent crime. The defendant has plead not guilty by reason of insanity and could face the death penalty in convicted.
