WATCH LIVE: James Holmes Murder Trial — Penalty Verdict Reached

Holmes has been charged with 24 counts of first-degree murder as well as 116 counts of attempted first-degree murder, one count of possessing an explosive device and one count of violent crime. The defendant has plead not guilty by reason of insanity and could face the death penalty if convicted.

After roughly seven months, the case has finally gone to jury. A decision could come at anytime after 7pm eastern.
