WATCH LIVE: Punxsutawney Phil Makes His Groundhog’s Day Prediction For Winter
Needlenose Ned! Ned the Hed! It’s time once again for Punxsutawney Phil to make his grand prediction for when winter will end live from Gobbler’s Knob in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania. The small town historic tradition dates back to 1887; according to legend, if the famous groundhog sees his shadow, he burrows back to keep warm for six more weeks of winter. But, of course, if he doesn’t see his shadow, then we can be sure that Spring is right around the corner.
And tomorrow, Bill Murray will be forced to do the whole thing over again. Watch the live broadcast live from PA above via LiveStream.
UPDATE: 9:13 a.m. EST: Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow this morning, meaning there will be six more weeks of winter.
