Who’s Winning in Arizona?

 

flag_of_arizonaArizona, while reliably Republican, nonetheless became a battleground this year when Clinton saw her poll numbers come within single-digits of Trump and even briefly overtake him in mid-October. Arizona has 11 electoral votes.

As of Monday, the RealClearPolitics average of the most recent Arizona polls showed Trump with a 4-point lead in a two-way race, and Nate Silver’s FiveThirtyEight gave Trump a 71.5% percent chance of winning the state.

The polls close at 7 p.m. local time (9 p.m. eastern). We will update with the reported results as soon as they come in.

The only time in the last six decades that Arizona voted for a Democratic presidential candidate was in 1996.

2012: Republican (53.7%)

2008: Republican (53.6%)

2004: Republican (54.9%)

2000: Republican (51.0%)
