Donald Trump Wins Wisconsin

 

flag_of_wisconsinWith 10 electoral votes, Wisconsin has been a reliably blue state in presidential races. It has been won by the Democratic candidate in every quadrennial election since, and including, 1988.

As of Monday afternoon, the RealClearPolitics average of the most recent Wisconsin polls show Clinton leading Trump 6.5 points in a two-way race, and Nate Silver’s FiveThirtyEight gave Clinton an 81.8% percent chance of winning the state.

The polls close at 8 p.m. local time (9 p.m. eastern) on Tuesday night. We will update with the reported results as soon as they come in.

Here’s how Wisconsin voted in the last four presidential elections:

2012: Democrat (52.8%)

2008: Democrat (56.2%)

2004: Democrat (49.7%)

2000: Democrat (47.8%)

UPDATED 4:05 PM ET: According to Votecastr, Hillary Clinton holds a five-point lead, 48% to 43%, with 62% of votes cast.

UPDATED 5:23 PM ET: Latest Votecastr estimates show Clinton with a seven-point lead, 49% to 42%.

UPDATED 11:41 PM ET: Fox News projects Donald Trump to win Wisconsin.
