CNN Reporter Mocks ‘Delivery’ Of Trump Endorsement By Only Black GOP Senator Tim Scott
At a rally on Friday, GOP Sen. Tim Scott gave an enthusiastic endorsement of Donald Trump rather than fellow South Carolina Republican Nikki Haley, drawing lots of speculation over the politics but also some specific criticism of his “delivery” by CNN correspondent Omar Jimenez.
Sen. Scott, the only Black Republican Senator, took the stage in New Hampshire and said that “we need a president who will unite this country” in his endorsement of Trump.
His remarks drew criticism from within his party as well as from the left, and the fact that it was a snub of Haley brought plenty of political analysis, too.
CNN’s Jimenez offered his own take in a post on X on Saturday, mocking the Senator’s commentary by writing, “Senator Tim Scott endorses Donald Trump and uh, the delivery was a choice.”

The replies on X reflected a general consensus on the intent of the Jimenez remark.

Jimenez did not reply to or retweet any of those responses either to agree or to say it wasn’t what he was getting at.
