Marjorie Taylor Greene Warns of ‘More Things To Come’ After NY Earthquake If Americans Don’t ‘Repent’

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) warned that Friday’s 4.8 magnitude earthquake, centered in New Jersey and felt throughout the Northeast, was a warning from God for Americans to “repent.”
The Georgia congresswoman posted on X (formerly Twitter) several hours after the 4.8 magnitude quake shook buildings and rattled people from New York City to Washington D.C.
“God is sending America strong signs to tell us to repent,” Greene posted. “Earthquakes and eclipses and many more things to come. I pray that our country listens.” The upcoming solar eclipse has, of course, long been calculated by astronomers and eclipses are a regularly occurring event in our solar system.
God is sending America strong signs to tell us to repent.
Earthquakes and eclipses and many more things to come.
I pray that our country listens. 🙏

The MAGA Republican has made no secret of her Christian faith and reliance on conspiracy theories to explain complex or tragic events. In a 2023 interview, Greene said, “It’s important that we put full faith and hope in God and not anything that we see in the headlines and not anything that we see happening in the news. Our real hope needs to be in God. And Jesus Christ is my savior…And God has plans much bigger than this.”
Greene has referred to herself as a “Christian Nationalist,” posting on X (formerly Twitter), “I am being attacked by the godless left because I said I’m a proud Christian Nationalist. These evil people are even calling me a Nazi because I proudly love my country and my God. The left has shown us exactly who they are. They hate America, they hate God, and they hate us.”

Greene, known for her bombastic rhetoric, has called on Republicans to become a party of “Christian nationalists.” The Southern Poverty Law Center has identified “white Christian nationalism” as an “extremist” movement that stands against Muslims, the LGBTQ+ community, and other minority groups.
