Trump Attacks GOP Congressman And His New Wife Ahead of Key House Vote: ‘Blessed be Their Marriage’

President Donald Trump ripped into Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) on Monday and accused his new wife of turning him into a “Liberal.”

“People are saying that Thomas Massie became a Liberal because his new wife, blessed be their marriage, is supposedly a Radical Left ‘flamethrower.’ This new union all went so fast that maybe he didn’t know what he was getting into but, nevertheless, he is an absolutely terrible and unreliable ‘Republican’ — Perhaps a RINO, or maybe even worse!” began Trump in a bombastic Truth Social post. He added:

Ed Gallrein, a Farmer and War Hero, is running against Massie. He is a HIGH QUALITY individual, and there is no Candidate for Congress that could be better. He is running because he realizes Thomas Massie has been totally disloyal to the President of the United States, and the Republican Party. He never votes for us, he always goes with the Democrats. Thomas Massie is a Complete and Total Disaster, we must make sure he loses, BIG!

Just hours earlier, Trump urged the House Republicans to pass the Senate’s funding bill to keep the government open. The House GOP’s majority will soon only be by one vote, after the newly elected Democrat in Texas is sworn in. “We need to get the Government open, and I hope all Republicans and Democrats will join me in supporting this Bill, and send it to my desk WITHOUT DELAY. There can be NO CHANGES at this time,” Trump insisted on Truth Social ahead of his attack on Massie.

Massie sparked Trump’s anger in recent months with his push to release the Epstein Files and refusal to support the so-called “Big Beautiful Bill” over concerns it added too much to the national debt. Trump had previously attacked Massie for remarrying after his wife passed away.

Last November, Massie was asked by CNN’s Manu Raju to react to Trump attacking his dead wife, and Massie said, “I think it’s a new low for him, but again, we laughed it off. It’s more to his detriment than mine that he, you know, put something like that out. But I think that it was beyond the pale.”
