‘It’s Remarkable!’ Fox News Contributor Tammy Bruce Claims ‘Anyone Else Would Have Shrunk Away’ From Challenges Trump Is Facing
Fox News contributor Tammy Bruce claimed that “anyone else would have shrunk away” from the challenges Donald Trump faces as he runs for re-election.
Bruce spoke with Fox & Friends Weekend’s Pete Hegseth about how Saturday night’s planned major donor event at Mar-a-Lago is expected to net the Trump campaign a record-breaking $43 million, although some estimates put it closer to $50 million.
“Clearly, Trump has made it obvious that he’s serious about being president again. And he’s serious enough to where his personal freedom’s at stake. His estate’s at stake. The future for himself and his family’s at stake. He’s doing it anyway,” Bruce said, continuing:
They relied on him saying, “Oh, like, who wants to deal with this?” I mean, etcetera. He’ll deal with it, because there’s something bigger at stake here. That’s what the American people have seen. This fundraiser is another indication of that. Did they think that this was just going to be about TV? Of course not. This is going to be about raising enough money to win this thing, because what else is the point when they’re attacking you and ready to set your house on fire and put you in jail?
He is not kidding, everyone! And I think it’s clear: this is the last headline the establishment ever expected to see when they did their 91 indictments. Anyone else — it’s remarkable that it’s him now, because anyone else understandably would have shrunk away. But this guy is serious, you’re going to see serious money, and there’s a coalescing of people.
Bruce added that major donors to Nikki Haley or Ron DeSantis’ past campaigns would be donating to Trump.
“The individuals who were thinking, ‘Well,’ — and I think this was a little bit of wrong-think — that ‘anyone can do this.’ Or ‘these people would be better than Trump.’ Missing the moment and the mood of the American people,” Bruce said before mocking President Joe Biden’s recent foray among “celebrities” at Radio City Music Hall.
Biden currently holds the title for the biggest fundraising event at $26 million from that soiree last weekend, that featured former presidents Bill Clinton and Barack Obama.
